Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses
Mattel not only produces the popular fashion doll, the company is also involved in making Barbie a movie star, along with Universal Home Entertainment. In her latest role, she plays the part of Princess Genevieve. She and her eleven sisters love to dance and sing. Their father, however, thinks the girls need a stricter upbringing and allows his cousin to take over the duty of bringing up the adorable princesses. The Duchess has ulterior motives though, and ends up making the lives of the girls almost unbearable. They escape to a magical land where they can dance to their heart’s content. In the meantime, the Duchess is slowly poisoning the King in the hopes of taking over the crown. It is up to the girls to save their father, and the kingdom. Together they discover they have the power of twelve, which is the only thing that can defeat the evil Duchess. This is a wonderful and enchanting story for girls of all ages. Barbie has been around for decades, but she still looks great!
Curious George
While on an expedition in Africa to recover an ancient idol, the man in the big yellow hat (voiced by Will Ferrell), a guide in the Bloomsberry Museum, meets the little monkey who instantly takes a liking to him. They play peek-a-boo with is big yellow hat, which George originally takes as a giant banana. When his new friend leaves the jungle, George follows him, all the way to New York. In the big city George’s curiosity continues as he learns all about new things and people. George is a kind-hearted little guy who loves to play and explore. This adorable little monkey has captured the hearts of millions of people – young and old. His first feature film is now available on DVD complete with hours of bonus features to keep everyone entertained with activities and fun deleted scenes.A music video sing-a-long with Jack Johnson and George will delight the entire family. Also, viewers will learn how to draw George. Soon you’ll have pictures of the cute fellow all around your house! Viewers also learn how the animation artists make Curious George come alive and move around. A coloring book is always a fun activity for kids. There’s a hide-and-seek game where the entire family can hunt for the little monkey, and a Banana Hunt game to help George locate his favorite food. DVD ROM features add additional bonus downloads, so there are countless hours of fun and activities to go along with the adorable movie.
Everybody Loves Raymond – Season 7
Join Ray Romano as Ray Barone, along with Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts in the seventh season of this award-winning series. The DVD contains some never-before-seen deleted scenes and hysterical bloopers as well as several audio commentaries. With 720 minutes of fun on 5 discs, this is a must-have for all Raymond fans.
Family - Seasons 1 and 2
This wholesome series from the 1970s focuses on a Pasadena family who are not perfect, but their love for each other sees them through even the worst of times. Kate and Doug Lawrence (Sada Thompson and James Broderick) head the family. Meredith Baxter Birney took over the role of their divorced daughter Nancy in the second season. She lives in their guest house with her infant son. Other family members include a wise-beyond-his-years son Willy (Gary Frank) and a tomboy daughter Buddy (Kristy McNichol). Together they face the everyday situations that make up life. Even though this was a simpler time, the stories are compelling and thirty years later they are still enjoyable to watch. This DVD set includes the first and second seasons of this delightful series. If you have never seen it or remember it fondly, this wonderful DVD set is worth a trip back to the 1970s.
The Flintstones - Season 6
The final stone-age season is now available in a 4-disc DVD set. Yabba Dabba Doo! Fans of the prehistoric family can now enjoy the entire series. The Flintstones and their friends the Rubbles entertained young and old alike with their fun antics and spoofs on shows and people of the day – our day, not theirs! Besides the funny episodes, the set contains some wonderful bonus features including a look at how the show affected pop culture and how pop culture influenced the show, hosted by Stephen Baldwin. The season also introduced the alien Gazoo, and the set includes a bonus feature on him as well. It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t like The Flintstones. Join Fred, Wilma, Pebbles, Barney, Betty, Bam Bam, and Dino for a gay old time!
Grease – Rockin’ Rydell Edition
This new edition of the 1978 classic that skyrocketed the careers of John Travolta and Olivia Newton John comes wrapped in its own limited edition black leather T-bird vest. Along with the classic high school film are tons of bonus features, including 11 deleted and alternate scenes. Travolta and Newton John also reflect on their memories of the film, and there is a sing-along to all those great songs. Another bonus is a look at the 25th anniversary DVD launch party. Hart to Hart - Season 2
The most romantic duo to ever sleuth on TV starred Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers as Jonathan and Jennifer Hart. This rich and beautiful couple doesn't need to work, however they tame their restlessness and curiosity by being amateur investigators while still keeping up their luxurious lifestyle. With the aid of their loving butler Max (Lionel Stander), week after week the couple finds themselves in the middle of danger, but they still manage to always look like the cover of a fashion magazine! Their glamour, charm, charisma and humor made the characters and the show one of the most popular in 1981, with three Emmy Award nominations. Lose your heart – again – to Hart to Hart. The Second Season DVD set includes all 20 episodes.
The Lake House
This is a timeless story of love – literally. Kate (Sandra Bullock) is living in 2006 and Alex (Keanu Reeves) is living simultaneously in 2004. The conduit through this wrinkle in time is a magical mailbox. Bullock and Reeves are a wonderful pair, having starred together over 10 years ago in the popular film Speed. They bring an enchanting element to this story of two people searching for something or someone to compliment their busy and lonely lives. The DVD contains some deleted scenes.
Laurel And Hardy Collection – Volume 2
Three classic feature films make up this special DVD collection. The Dancing Masters, The Bullfighters, and A-Haunting We Will Go are wonderful Laurel and Hardy comedies. Plus there are several bonus features, including a look at the years the comedy team spent at Fox. There are also several other bonuses, including audio commentaries and more. Laurel and Hardy are icons in the comedy and film worlds. And watching these films it is easy to see why. Classic comedy never goes out of style. Stan and Ollie are two goofs, and never fail to get laughs. Whether they’re running a dance school or being private detectives, the team is always funny and true Laurel and Hardy fans won’t want to miss this box set.
My Little Pony Crystal Princess: The Runaway Rainbow
The new magical land of Unicornia is introduced in this delightful film for little girls. Girls love watching all the antics of the ponies in these stories, and this one will definitely delight everyone. Rainbow Dash and Rarity the Unicorn work to make the season’s first glittering rainbow. With magical antics and colorful fun, this film shows what friendship is all about. All My Little Pony lovers will enjoy this newest magical film filled with rainbows, adventure and charm. The DVD contains two sing-alongs and an animated short called “Greetings from Unicornia.”
Riptide - Season 1
Action is the name of the game in this fun series from the 1980s. Joe Penny, Perry King, and Thom Bray star as three new-to-the-business private investigators who live on a boat in King Harbor, California, drive a corvette, fly a helicopter, and own a sophisticated robot. In those days a robot was something out of the future, but Murray Bozinsky (Bray), the geekiest geek complete with taped glasses and pens in his pocket, built the “Roboz” who comes in handy for these PIs. King and Penny, the brawns of the group, and Bray, the brains, are a fun combination who delighted audiences in the 80s and will do so again with this DVD set. 13 episodes are included in the set. Riptide was a mid-season replacement that went on for three seasons.
Stidk It
Gymnastics is the theme for this teen film about a rebellious former gymnast who is struggling with life. Missy Peregrym stars as Haley, an athlete who had promise but chucked her career mid-stream. After a bought with the law, she is forced to attend an elite gymnastics program run by Burt Vickerman (Jeff Bridges) who intends on tapping into her natural talent and letting her explore her potential in the sport. The bonus features include bloopers and outtakes, a music video, a look at the real gymnasts, gymnastic routines and much more.
Twitches – The Bewitched Edition
Tia and Tamera Mowry star as long-lost twins. They were separated at birth and brought to another dimension to escape the evils in their own land. On their 21st birthday they finally meet and together discover they are the only ones who can save their homeland – in the other dimension. The DVD contains an alternate ending and a look inside the location where the magical land really stands – in Canada! There is also a fun and amazing interactive game. Try it. You’ll be surprised.
