Beauty and the Beast Platinum Edition

The Platinum Edition Beauty and the Beast 2-Disc Set is now available for a limited time only! Beauty and the Beast is one of about ten Disney titles, which only come around every ten years.
The story of a girl who dreams of better things for her life and a selfish prince who has been cursed, comes to life in this beautifully animated musical film. This edition features an all-new musical sequence that never made it to the big screen during the original release. The song, "Human Again," is integrated into the film and is one of several additional bonuses on the DVDs. There are three versions of the film included: The original theatrical release, the restored and remastered special edition which includes the new song, and the work-in-progress edition that was included in the 1991 NY Film Festival.
Besides the movie(s), there are fun things to do and places to explore. For instance, on the first disc there is a "Maurice Intervention Workshop Game." By completing this game, the player is given a secret code that allows him/her to access the secret West Wing on Disc 2, where viewers can help break the magic spell. There are also behind the scenes features, and places where the viewers can learn more about the characters. Mrs. Potts, Chip, Cogsworth and Lumiere all have separate sections filled with games, information, and fun.
Beauty and the Beast received six Academy AwardŽ nominations including Best Picture. It won the award for Best Song ("Beauty and the Beast") and Best Score. It was only the second digitally produced Disney feature. The film was completely remastered for this Platinum Edition DVD, making the audio and video the very best quality modern technology has to offer.
Beauty and the Beast is an enchanting tale of love and hope. It is indeed a "tale as old as time." For more information about the DVD edition, and to download a special Beauty and the Beast rose for your computer's desktop, click on this Beauty and the Beast site.
The special edition running time is 94 minutes and the film is rated "G." Remember, it is available for a limited time only, so don't miss the chance to own this Disney classic, with all its additional features and fun.
